Greetings and thanks for visiting my website.

My name is Allen. I’ve loved riding bicycles since I was a kid growing up in Pennsylvania.  But I’m not a kid anymore, not by a long shot.  My own kids are grown, married and blessing me with grand-kids.  But I still love to ride my bike, maybe more now than ever, and this year I am doing something special.  I’ve challenged myself to ride 1600 miles from Kansas City to the Atlantic Ocean for the Lance Armstrong Foundation.   Starting June 9th I will be riding an average of 70 miles a day in order to reach Yorktown, Virginia in early July.

For the past 11 years I have supported the Lance Armstrong Foundation by cycling in the LiveStrong Challenge event in Austin and earning donations from friends and family.  This year I wanted to do something special, so in addition to participating in the Austin ride in October, I am riding my bike from Kansas City to Yorktown, Virginia to raise donations and spread the survivorship message of the Lance Armstrong Foundation in support of the the 2012 LiveStrong Challenge.

This website includes several pages with details of my background, my route, real time maps of my progress, my support team, my sponsers, the Lance Armstrong Foundation and a daily blog about my trip with comments from my readers. Use the menu items in the black ribbon above to access the other pages.

Please donate to the Lance Armstrong Foundation using the following link and  come back often to track me as I ride to Yorktown.
